the loft lounge & bar – Eastbourne's premier cocktail bar & restaurant

owners Mike, & Dave Watkin recognised the lack of venues in Eastbourne which offer a complete eating & drinking experience. with that in mind they set about creating the loft. with vibes from both London & Brighton the brothers have completely reformed the old Sumfield & Day print works into a luxury venue making it suitable for any event.

spread over two floors the loft has been carefully designed to create a relaxing & sumptuous atmosphere. the downstairs area is dominated by a unique circular bar, backed by a dazzling glass wall stretching up between the two floors, towards the impressive skylight which floods the venue with natural light.

to add to its uniqueness, for premier nights, the loft operates a reservation system, which allows you to reserve booths in our upstairs lounge area, even if you are just visiting for an evening of drinking. In busy periods it is preferential to book in advance but there is no problem with simply just calling in, everyone is welcome. additionally, sections of the venue can be booked for business meetings or any other occasion, day or night. see our reservation page for details.

the upstairs is divided into a mixture of seating areas. these comprise of various sized booths, including a large VIP area & the balcony drinks shelf. the original eaves give the floor a cosy & intimate feeling & in keeping with the original building, the void between the floors has been kept allowing customers to keep an eye on what's going on downstairs!
